Fire alarm

Volleyball Story
By Jada Moyer (A true Story)

The volleyball ‘B’ game was on the last set when a fire alarm went off. Everyone flooded outside and I was waiting for the announcement that it was just a test, when it dawned on me. This might not be a drill. NOOO! I left my warm-up and my water bottle and my backpack and my….Suddenly, I hear sirens. Fire trucks come down the road blaring their sirens. Okay, I AM FLIPPING OUT! Suddenly I spot a lady sitting at her computer looking at…. Tacos.  I mean, WHY THE WORLD is this lady sitting in her classroom, while the fire alarm is going off, and of all things LOOKING UP TACOS?! What is she doing? She is very crazy. The fire trucks pull in, one pulls in then another, then another, then another and then….. Wait a minute. How many fire trucks do they need to put out one fire!? A police car pulls in. Why do we need a police car? An ambulance pulls in. Okay, I can see why they need an ambulance but….. How many people do they expect to be at a volleyball game? I mean, come on!  A man, apparently some important person, standing to my right suddenly yells to everyone, ‘this was an accident’! Relief washes over me. I asked my coach if we could go back inside and he said the firefighters want to clear the building first. Oh boy, that lady is going to get in big trouble if they find her! I played on the tiny playground with my friends and then we were allowed to go inside. The referee said that we weren't going to finish the game.

                                                     THE END!
