Animal of the Week: Puffer Fish 12/3/25
Puffer fish, some people also call them blowfish; the puffer fish is poisonous and not venomous. You don’t want to touch though, because you would get light-headedness, loss of reflexes, and nausea. But if you were to eat it then that's a different story, you would probably die. A puffer fish’s poison can kill 30 people. A puffer fish can be 1-30 inches long depending on the breed. Some of the animals that can eat puffer fish are tiger sharks, sea snakes, and lizard fish. Some of the things that puffer fish eat are shrimp, crabs, clams, oysters and algae. Puffer fish are known for puffing up like a ball when they get scared. And they will swallow water, and then they look like a ball. I hope you learned a lot about puffer fish.
